In case you are still unsure
if you want to participate below is a list of reasons to help you
make up your mind. If this exciting program were not enough, even
more incentives await because we really want YOU to participate
and discover a new side of Northern Virginia.
By participating in NEST, you will...
- Have a chance to win autographed books about local and international
environmental topics including:
- Have a chance to win other prizes including a free pass to Meadowlark

- Enjoy food from Whole
Foods at our kick-off event on March 25th

- Connect to the local community
- Have the opportunity to participate in low and high ropes courses
and orienteering at Hemlock

- Learn about how to join groups that workto improve our local

become Park Authority volunteers with additional benefits including
free admission to Park Authority events, RECenter classes on a
space available basis (min. 32 hours volunteered), and membership
to the Fairfax County Credit Union
- Assist a George Mason University student with her dissertation

If you help by participating in the survey
only:
Note: This means you will take 1 or 2 surveys (randomly determined)
and NOT attend any NEST programs. The first survey will be taken
in late March, the second will be taken in early June.
For completing the March survey, you will walk away with: a pencil
made from recycled currency or denim, magnets, an EPA beach ball,
and a free pass to a local Park Authority recreation center. After
completing the June survey, you can receive 20% off Potomac Paddlesports
Programs (after June 10th).
After June 10th, you will be entered to win other
prizes such as a free pass to Meadowlark
Gardens and autographed books including:
Note: you will not recieve any books prior to June
10th.
