Popsicle Bridge Contest for High School Students sponsored by ASCE

Join the GMU Chapter of ASCE as they host a popsicle stick bridge building contest for local high school students on Wednesday, February 21.  Time – TBD, Student Union Building II, Ballrooms 2 and 3.

ASCE Student Chapter Career Fair

The GMU Student Chapter of ASCE is sponsoring a career fair for Civil Engineering students on Wednesday, December 6 from 11:30 AM-4:30 PM in Dewberry Hall.  Many local and large engineering companies will be in attendance seeking students for internships, summer positions, and entry level employment.  Help support the CEIE Department and the ASCE Chapter by stopping by.  Dress professionally and bring copies of your resume.  For more information, contact Kalen Bauman, GMU ASCE Vice-President (kbauman@gmu.edu). 

Shape up your resume!  On Wednesday November 29 at 10:30 am, Charlotte Strauss of GMU Career services will be presenting a mini-resume writing workshop for CEIE students.  The workshop will be held in Room 330B, Science and Technology II.

Important Notice: Schedule Change for ENGR310

Due to an unexpected conflict, the CEIE Department has been forced to reschedule ENGR 310 to Friday, 4:30 - 7:10pm for the Fall 2006 semester. ENGR 310-001 has been cancelled and a new section, ENGR 310-002 has been created.

Effected students are encouraged to contact a CEIE faculty member as soon as possible for advising.  Dr. Venigalla is available in his office Thursday 8/10, Friday 8/11 1-5 PM and on Monday at 1-5 PM. Please bring your degree progress report with you.
